2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – An Absolute Beast

After months of suspense and hints, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has finally been launched. The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon generates 840 horsepower, 770 lb-ft of torque, 2.3 seconds to 60 mph run and a quarter-mile run of 9.65 at 140 mph. And the good news is that Dodge is trying to keep the price under $100,000. Moreover, if the reports are true, Demon will only be available for one year. The NHRA has certified the Demon to be the quickest car, till date due to it's horsepower figure, 0 to 60 and quarter-mile times.

In order to make the The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon powerful, many improvements have been given to the red-painted supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8. It's equipped with a large 2.7-liter supercharger which increases the boost up to 14.5 psi and redlines at 6,500. The Demon has an inbuilt SRT Power Chiller, a system that cools the incoming air, coming through the Air Grabber hood scoop by using the air conditioning.

In an effort to eliminate teeth-shattering wheel hop under hard launches, The SRT Demon in order to eradicate the body shaking wheel hops faced due to hard launches. The car uses wheel-spin sensors in order to detect any slight slip and temporarily curbs the engine torque to reestablish the traction quickly and protect the driveline.

For the streets, the Demon has certain selected drive modes, the drag strip, and a valet mode which is protected by password which limits the horsepower, engine speed to 4,000 rpm and also disables the shift paddles and launch control.
